Ray Rodriguez, MD

Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and Director of Pediatric Allergy and Immunology at the Mississippi Center for Advanced Medicine


Dr. Ray Rodriguez serves as the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and Director of Pediatric Allergy and Immunology at the Mississippi Center for Advanced Medicine. In his role as CMO, Dr. Rodriguez oversees the pediatric hospitalist program which is a partnership between MCAM and Mississippi Baptist Medical Center. In addition to serving as a full-time pediatric allergist, he also plays a key role in physician recruiting, credentialing, program development and organizational strategy. Rodriguez is a native of Puerto Rico and is fluent in both English and Spanish. He holds a Medical Degree (M.D.) from Ponce School of Medicine in Puerto Rico, his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of Puerto Rico Law School, his Master in Health Law (LLM) from Loyola University School of Law in Chicago, Illinois, his Master in Public Health (MPH) from the University of Puerto Rico and his Master in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Tennessee. Dr. Rodriguez completed his Pediatric Residency from William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas, his Allergy Immunology and Clinical Laboratory Immunology Fellowships from Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC. He has experience in a variety of settings including solo practice, academic medical center settings and at military hospitals including Dewitt Army Community Hospital in Ft. Belvoir, Virginia, Womack Army Medical Center in Ft. Bragg, North Carolina and as Chief of Allergy Immunology at William Beaumont Medical Center. He is a fellow of the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology, the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology and American Academy of Pediatrics. In his spare time, Dr. Rodriguez enjoys spending time with his wife Ivonne and two children Roxanne, and Ryan.
