Dr. Rohini Mehta, MD
UIW-SOM
Rohini Mehta, MD is a board-certified psychiatrist and assistant professor of psychiatry at the University of the Incarnate Word School of Osteopathic Medicine (UIWSOM). She graduated from the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine and completed her residency training at the MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. At UIWSOM, Dr. Mehta serves as the Psychiatry Clerkship Director and Phase II Curriculum Director. She is a recipient of the UIWSOM Teaching Excellence Faculty Award in 2023. Dr. Mehta is also Faculty Co-Advisor for the Gold Humanism Honor Society. She is a NBOME National Faculty member and serves on the COMAT Psychiatry subcommittee. In her clinical practice, she cares for active duty service members and supervises resident physicians from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where she was awarded the PGY-3 Faculty of the Year award in 2025.
