Ross Miller, B.A., MD

Ross Miller was born and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska. He went to a small liberal arts college in Hastings, Nebraska (Hastings College) where he majored in Biology and English. He went to medical school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska followed by a pathology residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology also at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. He completed a fellowship in Forensic Pathology at the Jackson County Medical Examiner’s Office in Kansas City, Missouri before starting practice as a Forensic Pathologist/Medical Examiner at the Oklahoma Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 2015. The hope is for this presentation to provide a practical approach to death certification based on his experience with causes of death, manners of death, and death certification in my capacity as (and from the perspective of) a medical examiner.
