Ryan M. Smith, DO, Med, PhD, MBA, FACN, FNAOME, “Recognizing and Treating Bipolar Disorders and Related Masquerading Conditions,” is a board certified psychiatrist and founding associate dean for clinical affairs at Indiana University of Pennsylvania Proposed College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Smith is a graduate of Stonehill College in Easton, Massachusetts and a 2010 graduate of the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford, Maine where he also earned a masters in education. He also earned a PhD at the University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, Kentucky and an MBA from Fisher College in Boston, Massachusetts. He completed a psychiatry residency from Harvard Medical School and Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center and a child psychiatry fellowship from Maine Medical Center. A fellow of the American College of Neuropsychiatrists and the National Academy of Osteopathic Medical Educators, he is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, the American Psychiatric Association, the New Hampshire Psychiatric Association, the Maine Association of Psychiatric Physicians, the Southern Maine Osteopathic Group, the International Association of Medical Science Educators, the Neuroscience Education Institute, the American Association of Chairs of Departments of Psychiatry, and the Faculty Associate of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
