Salvatore Lacagnina, DO


Salvatore Lacagnia, DO is a graduate of the NY College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed an Internal Medicine Residency at the State University at Stony Brook in New York. In 1993 he moved to Florida and worked for the Lee Memorial health system doing general internal medicine and subsequently became the medical director for the lead physician group. During his 26-year tenure at Lee Memorial he was one of the Champions for the health and Wellness program for employees and the community.

In addition to a board certification in internal medicine he subsequently became board certified in anti-aging and regenerative medicine through A4M and then earned a board certification in lifestyle medicine through the American College of lifestyle medicine. Doctor Sal also served on the board for AC LM for three years.

In 2020 Dr. Sal left Lee Memorial and started a concierge lifestyle medicine practice in Fort Myers FL. In addition to his clinical practice, he continues to speak locally and nationally on all topics related to health and Wellness; and has also published a book entitled “Grow Up without Getting Old”.

Personally, Dr. Sal has been an avid runner since high school and continues to participate in 5K, 10K, and 10-mile races. He also plays tennis and enjoys other outdoor activities. He has three children and Although he lives in Fort Myers FL he always feels he is a New Yorker at heart.
