Samuel Gubernick, DO, FAAP, FACAAI, FAAAAI
Samuel Gubernick, DO, FAAP, FACAAI, FAAAAI was born and grew up in South Florida. He received his degree in pharmacy from the University of Florida in 1977 and practiced as a clinical pharmacist until 1983. He graduated from the Southeastern College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1987. Dr. Gubernick then completed an internship at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, a residency in pediatrics at All Children’s Hospital, University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine, and and a fellowship in allergy/immunology at All Children’s Hospital, University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine. After graduation he spent the next 10 years there as part time faculty. He was very fortunate to be trained by Robert A. Good, who performed the first successful human bone marrow transplant.
Dr. Gubernick and his wife Carol have been married for 42 years. They have two wonderful children, Rachael, a graduate of Georgetown Law School, and David, a graduate of the University of Florida College of Medicine and the University of South Florida allergy/immunology training program. He joined Dr. Gubernick’s practice in 2021. Dr. Gubernick has four grandchildren, ages 12, 8, 5 and 1.
Dr. Gubernick is a clinician who treats his patients as if they were family. His clinical practice consists of the full spectrum of allergy and immunology, but his true passion is the diagnosis and treatment of primary immunodeficiency. He has been very involved in the Florida Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Society and has served as President three times. He has also served as Chairman of the Continuing Certification and Professional Education Committee and as regional governor of the Regional, State and Local Allergy Asthma and Immunology Societies for the American Academy of Allergy Asthma and Immunology.
