Sandra Rubio, MD, FACE is an endocrinologist with Verde Valley Medical Clinic – Endocrinology, a service of Northern Arizona Healthcare. She practices in Cottonwood and Camp Verde, specializing in diabetes, thyroid diseases and general endocrinology. Dr. Rubio earned her medical degree from the Ponce School of Medicine in Puerto Rico. She pursued further education in New York City, including an internal medicine internship and residency at the Cabrini Medical Center. Dr. Rubio also completed an endocrinology and metabolism fellowship at St. Vincent’s Medical Center, and studied metabolic bone disease at the Hospital for Special Surgery. She is board certified in internal medicine and in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr.Rubio is a Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology and a member of the American Diabetes Association, the American Thyroid Association, the Endocrine Society, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, the American College of Physicians and the American Medical Association.
