Sarah Swenson, LCSW
Sarah Swenson is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She has bachelor’s degrees in Social Work and Art from the University of Southern Maine and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of New
England. From her earliest internship at a teen parent center, to her time as an in-home parent educator, to the 12 years she worked as an Integrated Behavioral Clinician in an OB/GYN office she has felt dedicated to easing the emotional upheaval that can come with adjusting to the changes that come with pregnancy, birth, and parenting. She has training in Interpersonal, Cognitive Behavioral, Dialectical Behavioral, Acceptance and Commitment, and Cognitive Mindfulness therapies as well as Perinatal Mood Disorders Components of Care and Advanced Perinatal Mental Health Psychotherapy. She currently has a private practice with a focus on Perinatal Mental Health and Women’s Health. She was a long time Board Member of the Maternal Health Alliance of Maine and was instrumental in merging that organization with Maine Chapter of Postpartum Support International and is currently a Maine PSI chapter member. She resides in Southern Maine with her husband and two teenaged daughters.
