Scott Mattson, DO


Dr. Mattson is a cardiologist with Lutheran Medical Group in Fort Wayne, IN. His interests primarily center on general cardiology, pulmonary hypertension and advanced cardiac imaging. Dr. Mattson serves as Medical Director of the Pulmonary Hypertension Clinic, and as Medical Director of the Echocardiography Laboratories. He is a graduate of Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine (MWUCCOM) in Downers Grove, IL, and completed his internal medicine residency at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis, IN, where he served as chief resident. While at Indiana University, he was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha honorary medical society. Dr. Mattson then completed a cardiology fellowship at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA, where he also served as chief fellow in cardiovascular disease. Additional training in advanced cardiac imaging occurred at Washington University in Saint Louis, MO, and at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Ml. While in Fort Wayne, he has been named in "Best Doctors" several times. He participates in medical education as a clinical assistant professor 
of medicine at Indiana University School of Medicine and serves 
as a medical student research mentor for the Midwest Alliance for Health Education. Dr. Mattson has served as a clinical investigator in numerous multicenter clinical trials.
