Shahid Aziz, DO

Dr. Shahid Aziz graduated from the University of North Texas Health Science Center and completed his internship and residency at the Osteopathic Medical Center of Texas in Fort Worth. His gastroenterology fellowship was completed at Botsford General Hospital in Farmington Hills, MI. He has completed additional fellowship training for Advanced Endoscopy (ERCP) at Duke University, Esophageal Motility at Thomas Jefferson Medical Center, Liver Transplant at Baylor University Medical Center, and G.I. at University of Michigan Medical Center. 

Board-certified in gastroenterology and hepatology, Dr. Aziz has extensive experience treating all types of liver disease. He is committed to continuing medical education and training. In addition to attending annual post-graduate hepatology courses, he gives lectures throughout the year. 

As Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of North Texas Health Science Center, he holds a weekly liver club with residents and fellows. Dr. Aziz is a member of AASLD, American College of Gastroenterology, Texas Medical Association, and American College of Osteopathic Internists. 

In his spare time, Dr. Aziz enjoys music, opera, playing guitar, running, and long bike rides. With 25 years of experience caring for patients with GI and liver disorders, he offers empowering messages of the potential to manage chronic conditions, improve quality of life, and successfully treat GI disease. His personal philosophy about life is “Exercise, Eat less, live long.”
