Shawn Marie Higgins, DO

Shawn Marie Higgins, DO is a graduate of the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. She is Board Certified in Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine, a Diplomat of the American Board of Integrative Holistic Medicine and a faculty member of the Osteopathic Cranial Academy. She completed Family Medicine Residency at Maine Dartmouth. She is also a volunteer physician at the Portland Osteopathic Children's Clinic in Portland Maine.

She has been a faculty member and lecturer for the Osteopathic Cranial Academy since 2013 and is currently on the OCA Board of Directors. She currently has a private practice in Yarmouth Maine where she practices osteopathy, energy and sound healing. She currently teaches CME courses on sound healing in osteopathy and has a chapter titled "The Human Body - A Biological Sound Healing Instrument" in Nutrition and Integrative Medicine: A Primer for Clinicians, currently in press and due to come out in 2022. Stay tuned for her 2022 series of sound healing series of introductory and intermediate CME courses on sound healing in osteopathy.
