Stephen Basheda, DO, FCCP


Stephen G. Basheda, DO, FCCP, “Time to Wake Up: Obstructive Sleep Apnea Syndrome,” is medical director of the Sleep Center/Pulmonary Rehabilitation Center at St. Clair Memorial Hospital in Pittsburgh and medical director of the Pulmonary Health/Rehabilitation Center and Sleep Center at Ohio Valley General Hospital in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania. He is also medical director of the Sleep Wellness Center in Moon Township, medical director of the McMurray (Pa.) Center Pointe Sleep Disorder Center and medical director of the Sleep Center at Meadville (Pa.) Hospital. Board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary disease, critical care medicine and sleep medicine, Dr. Basheda is a graduate of Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and a 1984 graduate of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed an internship at Metropolitan Hospital in Springfield, Pennsylvania; an internal medicine residency at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania; and pulmonary disease and critical care fellowships at the Cleveland (Ohio) Clinic Foundation. He is a fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians and a member of POMA. Dr. Basheda, faculty for the educational event, serves on the speaker’s bureau for GlaxoSmithKline, Mylan, and AstraZeneca. All of the relevant financial relationships listed have been mitigated.
