Steven Ma, DO

Steven Ma, DO, was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As a first generation Chinese-Vietnamese American, he was inspired by his uncle, a fellow Osteopathic Family Medicine Physician, to pursue a career in Medicine in order to help serve the community he came from. Steven attended Temple University on a full scholarship, graduating Cum Laude with a Bachelor's Degree in Biophysics. Steven went on to attend Medical School at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Steven then moved to Miami, Florida where he completed his Family Medicine Residency and Neuromuscular Medicine Fellowship at Larkin Community Hospital. After completing his training, Steven worked in Private Practice in Pembroke Pines, Florida, as well as served as the Associate Program Director of Family Medicine at Larkin Community Hospital Palm Springs Campus. His passion for academic medicine and teaching future generations of physicians has led him to taking a full time position at LECOM Bradenton. Steven is currently at LECOM Bradenton, serving as the Assistant Course Director of the Osteopathic Principles and Practices Course, and is the Assistant Dean of Clinical Education. Dr. Ma is a 2013 graduate of PCOM. Dr. Ma is an Assistant Professor of Medicine with a demonstrated history of working in the healthcare industry in Private Practice and in Medical Education as an Associate Program Director of a Medical Residency Program. He is skilled in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine, Acupuncture, Homeopathy, Medical Education, and Primary Care.
