Suzan White, DO


Dr. White has been focused on the treatment of addiction in rural Vermont since 2015. She is double Board Certified in Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine. She founded the Hope and Recovery Clinic at Northwestern Medical Center where she was awarded the hospital leadership award in 2019.  In 2020, at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, she transitioned to a position as Medical Director of Health and Recovery Solutions providing Telehealth Addiction Treatment Services through Phoenix House New England. Dr. White has recently launched Tamarack Psychiatry, a direct care Integrative Psychiatry practice in Shelburne, Vermont and she is also Medical Director treating Addiction at the Howard Center’s Northwest Spoke.  Dr. White has a special interest in indigenous approaches to healing. Since 2019 she has apprenticed with Grandfather Lench Archuleta, a Yaqui elder, and over the last year she has been honored to sit in circle with Grandmother Mulara, an Australian Aboriginal Senior Law Woman.
