Swathi M. Gowtham, MD


Swathi M. Gowtham, MD, “Pediatric COVID-19 Update,” is director of pediatric infection prevention and a staff physician in pediatric infectious diseases for Geisinger Health System in Danville, Pennsylvania. She is also clinical faculty for Geisinger’s pediatric residency program and is an assistant professor of pediatrics at Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine in Scranton. Board certified in pediatrics and pediatric infectious diseases, Dr. Gowtham is a graduate of Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey, and a 2005 graduate of Rutgers Medical School in Piscataway, New Jersey. She completed a pediatrics residency at Robert Wood Johnson University/Rutgers Medical School in New Brunswick and a pediatric infectious diseases fellowship at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Gowtham is a member of the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Society and the Society of Healthcare Epidemiology of America. She has provided no disclosures.
