Dr. Teresa Kilgore, D.O.


Dr. Kilgore is the Clinical Chair of Internal Medicine at the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine – Carolinas and is a Board Certified Internal Medicine Physician. Her extensive career has included working as a Part-Time Hospitalist at Providence Hospital in Columbia, a Physician in the Greenville Hospital System - Emergency Department and Associate Medical Director of the Chest Pain Center, a Hospitalist at St. Francis-Bon Secours, and Chief of Staff at Chesterfield General Hospital. Dr. Kilgore says she enjoys this this point in my career where she is able to balance the challenges of academic medicine, mentoring students with Clinical research, and sharing more than 30 years of practical clinical experience with VCOM-Carolinas medical students. She gives back to the medical profession on a local level with service to the Columbia Free Medical Clinic, on a state level with the South Carolina Osteopathic Medical Society, and on a national level with the AOA, ACOI and the NBOME. Dr. Kilgore received her medical degree from West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine and completed an Internal Medicine Residency at the Kennedy Hospital System in Stratford, NJ.
