Teresa Wagner, DrPH, MS, CPH, RD/LD, CPPS, DipACLM, CHWC


Dr. Teresa Wagner graduated with a Doctorate in Public Health from the University of North Texas Health Science Center where she is an Assistant Professor in the School of Health Professions, Lifestyle Health Sciences Department. She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics from Texas Christian University (TCU) and a Master of Science degree in Nutrition from Texas Woman’s University. She is a registered and licensed dietitian certified in Health Coaching & Lifestyle Medicine. She teaches Maternal Child Nutrition, Health Literacy & Communication for Health Professionals. As a health and wellness champion, she serves on the Cowtown Marathon Board of Directors.

Dr. Wagner also works for SaferCare Texas as the Clinical Executive for Health Literacy. In that role, she has established a multi-stakeholder health literacy collaborative in conjunction with the DFW Hospital Council Foundation and testified on health literacy legislation in Texas. Her testimony helped with getting health literacy into the State Health Plan. She has delivered multiple programs, speaking engagements and trainings on health literacy issues.
