Thomas Motyka, DO


Thomas M. Motyka, DO is Chair and Associate Professor of OMM at Campbell University Jerry M. Wallace School of Osteopathic Medicine. He also serves as Associate Professor of Internal Medicine at Campbell.

Dr. Motyka is a graduate of Cornell University and the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at The Cambridge Hospital/Harvard Medical School followed by a Primary Care Research Fellowship and Occupational/Preventive Medicine Residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC). Most recently he completed a Masters of Health Professions Education at Campbell. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Osteopathic Board of Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine. Prior to joining Campbell, Dr. Motyka practiced and taught at UNC and in private practice in Chapel Hill.

Dr. Motyka’s research and clinical interests are in pain, tissue healing, musculoskeletal disease,and the osteopathic approach to patient care.
