Dr. Worthington received a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the University of Pikeville, Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine (UP-KYCOM) in May 2006. She has a special interest in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM) and participated in a one-year scholars program in the Osteopathic Principles and Practices department during her time at UP-KYCOM. She received her Internship/Residency training in Family Practice-OMT through Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine at Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky, OH, in 2009.  She has always had a heart for rural primary care and was in private practice in Wiggins, MS, until December of 2017. She also served as an ambassador for the National Health Service Corps (2012-2015). In January of 2018, she joined the faculty at William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine and currently serves as the Associate Dean of Clinical Sciences. She serves on the executive board of the Mississippi Osteopathic Medical Association (MOMA) and has been an advocate for the osteopathic medical profession both in the state and regionally.
