Timothy Borelli, D.O.


Dr. Borelli is a native of South Portland, Maine and currently resides in Scarborough with his wife and 3 children. After graduating college he worked in Research and Development at IDEXX Laboratories in Westbrook, ME. He attended Medical School at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine and then completed his Internal Medicine Residency and subsequently a Fellowship in Infectious Disease at Maine Medical Center. For the past 12 years he has served as the Medical Director of Infectious Diseases and Hospital Epidemiology as well as the Co-Chair of the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program at MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta , Maine. He also shares a passion for teaching and is an appointed Faculty Member as Clinical Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine for the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. He routinely provides clinical teaching in Infectious Diseases for Maine-Dartmouth Family Medicine Residents, UNECOM medical students, Pharmacy Residents and Colby College students.
