Travis J. Small, DO


Travis J. Small, DO, was born in Enid, Oklahoma and is a graduate of The University of Oklahoma. He obtained his medical degree at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, Pennsylvania. His internship at Peninsula General Hospital in Queens, New York.  He then completed a clinical research fellowship in Adult Hip and Knee Reconstruction at Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland Ohio.  His Orthopedic Surgery Residency was at LECOM Health in Erie, Pennsylvania. He finalized his training with a fellowship in Adult Joint Reconstruction at Norton Health in Louisville, Kentucky.

Dr. Small is currently in his 3rd year of practice as an Adult Joint Reconstruction specialist at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  His focus is on Hip and Knee Replacement and revision procedures with a special interest in Direct Anterior Hip Arthroplasty, currently doing same day discharge total hip replacements as an outpatient procedure.  As an active faculty member for the Oklahoma State University Orthopedic Surgery residency program, he is the director of the Adult Joint Reconstruction Department as well as the Director of Research for the residency.

Dr. Small resides in Tulsa, OK with his wife and two children.  He enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, golf, and weight lifting
