Changing Dynamics: An Update on the Evaluation and Management of Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy

Rachael Pattison, DO's Profile

Rachael Pattison, DO Related Seminars and Products


Dr. Pattison is a board-certified pulmonary and critical care physician in Tulsa, OK.  Raised in Holdenville, OK, followed by undergraduate studies at East Central University in Ada, OK, she chose to pursue medical school at Oklahoma State University CHS in Tulsa, OK.  Following graduation from medical school, Dr. Pattison completed an internal medicine residency followed by a dual pulmonary and critical care fellowship at Baylor Scott and White in Temple, TX.  After graduation, she returned to Tulsa to practice pulmonary and critical care medicine.  Dr. Pattison has an accelerated interest in the pulmonary/oncology field of practice with rapidly changing new technology.  She has a passion for improving the lives of Oklahomans through early detection, diagnosis, and treatment of lung cancer.  This specific area of pulmonary medicine has significant updates and technology, which she will discuss today.


Rebekah Bernard, MD Related Seminars and Products


Rebekah Bernard, MD, is a Family Physician and the author of three books, including Patients at Risk: The Rise of the Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant in Healthcare (Universal Publishers 2020). A sequel to Patients at Risk entitled Imposter Doctors will be released soon.

Dr. Bernard received her medical degree from the University of Miami in 1999, completed her Family Medicine residency at Florida Hospital in Orlando in 2002, and has been self-employed in a direct primary care practice for the last seven years in Gainesville, Florida.

Tyler Ellington, DO's Profile

Tyler Ellington attended University in Stillwater at Oklahoma State, double majoring in zoology and geography.  He became interested in medicine after working as a transporter at South Crest Hospital.  He studied osteopathic medicine at OSU’s Center for Health Sciences in Tulsa.  He moved to San Antonio, TX, and pursued  internal medicine training.  He developed an interest in cardiovascular medicine while treating patients in the cardiac care unit with HCM expert Joseph P Murgo.  He went on to pursue further training in cardiovascular disease with a fellowship at Baylor Scott and White-Texas A&M University in Temple, TX. He is now at Oklahoma Heart Institute, Tulsa OK.


Layne E. Subera, DO, FACOFP Related Seminars and Products


Layne E. Subera, DO, FACOFP, graduated from the Oklahoma State University Health Science Center College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1995. He is board-certified in Family Medicine and Pain Medicine and is in private practice in Skiatook, Oklahoma. He is a past president of the Oklahoma Osteopathic Association, a graduate of the AOA Health Policy Fellowship Program, and earned his master’s degree in Bioethics and Health Policy at Loyola University Chicago. He is currently serving as a medical adviser for the Oklahoma State Board of Osteopathic Examiners and the medical director for the Center for Therapeutic Interventions, a Tulsa based opioid treatment program.

Richard Zimmer, CMBI Related Seminars and Products


Richard Zimmer, CMBI, is received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Professional Law Enforcement from Oklahoma City University and began his career at the Oklahoma City Police Department in 1978. Three years later, Rick was appointed to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation [OSBI] and assigned to the Central Regional Office in Oklahoma City.  After completion of the OSBI Academy, Zimmer was assigned to the Southwest Regional Office, Lawton were he served as a Resident Agent in Altus, Oklahoma, conducting investigations in the Southwest part of Oklahoma.  In 1984, Zimmer transferred back to the OSBI Central Regional Office where he was assigned to the Auto Theft Unit.  In 2009, Rick retired from the OSBI after almost 28 years of service. On May 16, 2011, Rick was appointed an Investigator for the Oklahoma State Board of Osteopathic Examiners where he conducts investigations of osteopathic physicians for violations of the Oklahoma Osteopathic Medical Act.  In 2012, he was promoted to Chief Investigator, a position he currently holds.
