First presented at the Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons of Oregon 2019 Primary Care CME program, OPSO is proud to offer this on-demand CME program as Mark Baldwin, DO explores approaches to patients with renal disease and implications in the primary care setting.

Learning Objectives:

Following completion of this program, attendees shall be able to:

- Understand symptoms of early renal disease, both acute and crhonic

- Understand the role of pain in renal disease

- Understand how to do a bedside evaluation fo volume status

- Understand common physicial findings on physicial examination

Statement of Accreditation

The Ostoepathic Physicians and Surgeons of Oregon is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians. The Osteoathic Physicians and Suregons of Oregon designates this program for a maximum of 1 AOA Category 1-A credits and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician’s participation in this activity.

Dr. Mark Baldwin is a Professor and Chair of the Department of Internal Medicine at Pacific Northwest University in Yakima, WA. He received his D.O. from Kansas City University and completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Chicago Osteopathic Hospital/Midwestern University in Chicago, Illinois, and fellowship in nephrology at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois. He is certified in both internal medicine and nephrology.
