Cardiovascular Emergencies for Non-Emergency Physicians

This presentation will feature cardiac emergencies that present to primary care clinics. The presentation will focus on identifying, risk stratifying and managing these conditions in the outpatient setting.

Learning Objectives

• Identify common cardiac emergencies that present to primary care offices.
• Risk-stratify patients with cardiac emergencies based on their presenting complaints, PMH and H&P.
• Apply principles discussed to perform appropriate assessments and interventions for cardiac emergencies in the outpatient setting.

The NC Osteopathic Medical Association (NCOMA) is accredited by the American Osteopathic Medical Association to provide continuing medical education to physicians.  NCOMA designates this program for a maximum of 1 AOA Category 1-A credit and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician's participation in this activity.
