BIO: Dr. Daniel Edney is a board-certified general Internist with subspecialty board certification in Addiction Medicine. He is a summa cum laude graduate of William Carey University and the University of Mississippi School of Medicine- Class of 1988. He then completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Virginia. He has practiced general primary care Internal Medicine since 1991 becoming interested in the national opioid crisis and working with patients with complications of chronic opioid use since 2013 and working in the field of addiction as a teacher and clinician. He is a former president of the MS State Medical Assoc., a Fellow and Laureate of the Miss. Chapter of American College of physicians, and is currently serving as a board member on the MS State Board of Medical Licensure and recently joined the Mississippi State Department of Health as the agency’s Chief Medical Officer. He currently serves as the Addiction Medicine specialist for Haven House Communicare-Oxford, Stonewater Adolescent Recovery Center-Oxford, Yazoo Mental Health CDU-Vicksburg, River Region CDU- Vicksburg, and has a private practice at Medical Associates of Vicksburg. He is the husband of 38 years to Lori, has 3 adult children and two wonderful grandsons.
Dr. Reeves serves as the clinical director at South Mississippi State Hospital in Purvis, Miss.
Reeves received his medical degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Mo. He completed an internship at Kirksville Osteopathic Hospital in Kirksville, Mo., a residency in psychiatry at University of Oklahoma-Tulsa in Tulsa, Okla., and a residency in neurology at University of New Mexico School of Medicine in Albuquerque, N.M.
He is board certified in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and in neurology by the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry. His professional memberships include the American Psychiatric Association and the American Osteopathic Association. Reeves has special interests in geriatric psychiatry, dementia and cognitive disorders.
Dr. Richard Galloway is a board-certified endocrinologist with Hattiesburg Clinic. He recently retired from his office practice and is currently a faculty member of the Forrest General Family Medicine Residency training program. Dr. Galloway established bone densitometry measurement at Hattiesburg Clinic and has been reading densitometry studies and treating osteoporosis for over 25 years.
In addition to holding a board certification in endocrinology and internal medicine, Dr. Galloway is also board certified in thyroid ultrasound, clinical bone densitometry.
Dr. Galloway received his medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in Loma Linda, Calif. He then completed an internship and residency at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Aurora, Colo. Dr. Galloway also completed a fellowship in endocrinology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and a fellowship in endocrinology science research at Walter Reed Army Institute Research, both in Washington, D.C.
Dr. Galloway is a member of the, American Diabetes Association, Mississippi State Medical Association, and the South Mississippi Medical Society.
Dr. Megan Edwards is a neurologist in Oxford, MS. She is a 2014 graduate of William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine. After medical school, she completed her Neurology residency at The University of Mississippi Medical Center in 2018, where she served as chief resident in her final year. She currently practices at Oxford Neurology Clinic and is an affiliate of Baptist Memorial Hospital- North Mississippi. Dr. Edwards is American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry Board Certified and American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology Certified. She is a Clinical Adjunct Professor William Carey University COM and Liberty University COM. She serves as the Neurology Subspecialty Education Coordinator for the IM Residency Program Baptist Memorial Hospital- North Mississippi and University of Mississippi pre-med Health Professions Advising Office associate.
Rosalyn Schneider is a 2017 graduate of Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her Traditional Rotating Internship in Michigan at Henry Ford Allegiance Health and her Osteopathic Neuromusculoskeletal Residency in West Virginia at Greenbrier Valley Regional Medical Center and West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine. After residency, she spent a year teaching as adjunct faculty at University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine and working as a consulting physician doing OMM in the hospital at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine. She is currently in her second year teaching as full-time faculty in the OMM department at William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Joseph Nosser is originally from Vicksburg, Mississippi, and serves as an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice with William Carey University School of Pharmacy. He currently practices as a clinical pharmacist with the Forrest General Hospital Family Medicine Residency Clinic in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2013. He earned his Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from Samford University McWhorter School of Pharmacy in 2019. He also completed a PGY-1 community-based pharmacy residency from the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy in 2020. Dr. Nosser is a Board-Certified Medication Therapy Management Specialist (BCMTMS) through the National Board of Medication Therapy Management (NBMTM). He is the founder and chief executive officer of Rx Wellness Clinical Solutions, LLC, an independent pharmacy consulting firm, which helps local independent pharmacies in southeast Mississippi to implement clinical services and to improve patients’ medication adherence. His professional interests include ambulatory care pharmacy, pharmacist-led clinical services, and precepting future generations of student pharmacists in Mississippi. He attributes his passion for teaching to his three aunts, who are retired teachers with a collective experience of over 100 years in private and public-school education in Vicksburg, Mississippi. Dr. Nosser is an avid supporter of Southern Miss athletics, loves to cook, travel around the United States, and enjoys spending quality time with his family and friends.
Edbert Hsu, M.D., M.P.H., FACEP, joined the department faculty after completing an International EM fellowship at Johns Hopkins. Combining his international health background with a special interest in disaster medicine, he has worked on emergency medicine program development and public health preparedness around the world. Currently, he serves on the leadership group of the Office of Critical Event Preparedness and Response (CEPAR). He has been a co-investigator with the DHS Center for the Study of Preparedness and Catastrophic Event Response (PACER), led a CDC sponsored project studying public health leadership training for crises and has served on the National Academies of Sciences Committee on Evidence-Based Practices for Public Health Emergency Preparedness and Response. In recent years, he has been interested in the topic of mass gatherings and crowd disasters. Dr. Hsu serves as an Associate Editor for the journal, Disaster Medicine and Public Health Preparedness and American Journal of Disaster Medicine. Dr. Hsu holds an M.D. from University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and an M.P.H. from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
Originally from Slidell, LA, Richard C. Calderone, DO, MPH performed his undergraduate studies at Southeastern Louisiana University. He earned a Master of Biomedical Sciences degree from William Carey University, as well as a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Southern Mississippi. He is a graduate of the inaugural class of William Carey University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he was a National Health Service Corps Scholar. Dr. Calderone completed his residency training in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at The University of Mississippi Medical Center and received additional certifications in Hypertension and HIV Medicine. He is currently a fellow in the Population Health Training in Place Program, through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s “Preventive Medicine” program. Dr. Calderone is the secretary of the board of directors for the Mississippi Osteopathic Medical Association and for the South Mississippi Medical Society. He serves as a full-time faculty member for the Forrest General Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program, where he is also the medical director of the FGH Preoperative Clinic.
