At the end of this presentation, participants should be able to:

  • Describe the advancement of single port robotics in urological practice
  • Differentiate between multi-port versus single port robotic urological surgery
  • Identify benefits to patient care seen in single port robotic surgery

The Urology Clinic


Jesse Caleb Rockmore, DO is a private practice urologist in Sumter, South Carolina. He joined Vijay Pinto, MD in practice at The Urology Clinic, Inc. He completed urological surgery residency at Mclaren/Henry Ford Macomb in 2023, a Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine program in the Detroit Metro area. Prior, he completed a general surgery preliminary year at Wayne State University and Detroit Receiving Hospital.

Dr. Rockmore specializes in single port robotic urological surgery for malignant and benign urological conditions. Additionally, he specialized in supine minimally invasive percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL)—a surgery for complex renal stones. Currently, he is the only single port and minimally invasive PCNL urologist in the Carolinas. In the fall of 2023, he completed the first single port urological surgeries and minimally invasive PCNLs ever in the state of South Carolina.

Dr. Rockmore comes from the rural North Georgia mountains in Appalachia. He earned bachelor’s degrees in psychology and biology from the University of North Georgia. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

Outside his life of urology, Dr. Rockmore enjoys spending time at the beach with his springer spaniel, fishing, cooking and collecting vinyl.
