Learning Objectives:
Following completion of this program, attendees shall be able to:
1. Describe a trauma-informed, practical approach to the initial evaluation of patients disclosing sexual assault in a primary care or outpatient setting.
2. Identify current evidence collection timelines and determine when outpatient management is appropriate versus when a SANE/ED referral is necessary.
3. Implement an efficient, clinic-ready care pathway that includes medical management, prophylaxis, documentation, and safe follow-up without retraumatizing the patient.
The South Carolina Osteopathic Medical Society designates this program for a maximum of 1.0 AOA Category 1-A credits and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician's participation in this activity.

Dr. Hobbs practices clinical emergency medicine and serves as the Associate Vice Chair of Clinical Affairs and Operations at Prisma Health Upstate as well as Medical Director of Adult and Pediatric Emergency Medicine and Medical Director of the GHS Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner Program at Greenville Memorial Hospital in Greenville, SC.
Dr. Hobbs completed medical school at Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Emergency Medicine residency at Ohio University/Kettering Hospital in Dayton, Ohio, where she served as Chief Resident.
