Dr. Garbalosa is currently practicing as part of McLeod Cardiology Associates in Sumter and Manning, SC where he is the Medical Director of the Cardiac Rehabilitation and Echocardiography Departments at McLeod Clarendon Hospital. He is an Associate Professor at the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine’s Sumter rotation site. Dr. Garbalosa serves as the Chief of Medicine at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital in Sumter, SC and is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Nuclear Medicine, and Echocardiography. In 2020, he was named “Best Cardiologist” by The Sumter Item, is Past President of the Sumter-Clarendon-Lee Tri-County Chapter of the South Carolina Medical Association, and Past Chair of the Young Physicians Section of the South Carolina Medical Association. Dr. Garbalosa graduated from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine, completed an Internal Medicine Residency at Palmetto General Hospital in Hialeah, FL, and completed a Cardiology Fellowship at the Deborah Heart and Lung Center in Browns Mills ,NJ where he served as chief fellow his final year. He is a member of the South Carolina Osteopathic Medical Society.
