Andrew Chung, DO


Dr. Andrew Chung is a dual-fellowship-trained orthopedic spine surgeon. He earned his D.O. Degree at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He then completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the Mayo Clinic in Arizona. This was followed by a combined neurosurgical and orthopedic spine fellowship at the University of Southern California. He then went on to pursue an advanced fellowship in outpatient and minimally invasive spine surgical techniques with a focus on minimally invasive spinal deformity correction at Cedars Sinai Medical Center and DOCs Hospital in Beverly Hills.

Dr. Chung understands the value of research and is passionate about education. He has co-authored over 50 peer-reviewed articles in major spine and orthopedic journals and has written several book chapters on spine surgical care. His research has been presented both nationally and internationally. He enjoys mentoring medical students and residents. He additionally serves as a reviewer for several major spine journals. What he finds most enjoyable, however, is being able to help his patients live better lives.

In his free time Dr. Chung loves spending time with his wife and two daughters, working out, and cooking.
