Caroline Fisher, MD, PhD
Dr. Caroline Fisher is a child and adolescent psychiatrist in Corvallis, Oregon. A graduate of Dartmouth College, she went on to get both an MD and PhD from Boston University School of Medicine. She has worked in a variety of contexts in mental health, from direct care to residency training director to department chair to CEO. She was even the founding editor of the Carlat Child Psychiatry Report. She now uses her PhD in pharmacology to comb through the medical literature for the primary care physicians she works with in the collaborative care model, so they can be even wiser and more helpful to their patients. The company she started, Germane & Wise Mental Health, was in 2022 shown to be the largest provider of pediatric collaborative care in the nation. Her ideal job title is “Chief of Hard Problems and Children,” or perhaps “Chief of Hard Problems WITH Children.”
