Derrick Sorweide, DO


Dr. Derrick Sorweide is the Director of Clinical Education and Discipline Lead for Cardiovascular Learning at the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific Northwest (COMP-NW) in Lebanon, Oregon. He is a member and was appointed Governor of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians (ACOFP) Board. He has held various leadership positions and has been on multiple committees with the Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons of Oregon. He is past president of the Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons of Oregon 2015-2017.

Dr. Sorweide is a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Army Reserves and was deployed in Kuwait and Iraq as an emergency medical treatment provider. He currently serves as the Medical Readiness and Training Command Surgeon for the Reserve Component.
