Elisabeth Guenther, MD, MPH


Dr. Elisabeth Guenther is a Professor and Chair of Pediatrics at Western University of Health Sciences in Lebanon, Oregon. She is board certified in Pediatric Emergency Medicine and Pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics. She has a commitment and appreciation for the care of children and their families, trainee mentoring, and compassionate communication.

Dr. Guenther graduated from the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana. She then matriculated into Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon, where she obtained her medical degree. Dr. Guenther completed a pediatric residency at Children's National Medical Center in Washington, D.C., and served as Chief Resident. She completed her fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at the University of Utah. While there, she also completed a Master's degree in Public Health and a graduate certification in Conflict Resolution. After years of being on the faculty at the University of Utah, Dr. Guenther returned to Oregon, where she was raised. She joined the faculty of the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific Northwest, where she also served as the Director of the Office of Career and Professional Development.
