Kelsey Noble, DO

My journey in, and to, medicine has been long and winding, but as I look back at where I’ve been, I know it was the road I needed to travel to be exactly where I belong today.  I was born and raised in Nebraska, then attended the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, graduating in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience and philosophy.  From there, I swapped coasts and moved to New York, NY, where I worked at The Rockefeller University and rode the train back and forth to Mineola to complete a master’s degree in acupuncture & Chinese Medicine.  After completing my studies in New York, I was fortunate to have the opportunity to initiate an acupuncture program in a health care system in North Carolina where I lived for three years prior to spending five months in Boudhanath, Nepal providing acupuncture treatments and learning at a local hospital, followed by ten months studying in Auvergne, France, where I cemented my ambition to complete a medical degree.  I returned to the U.S. in June 2013 and worked on prerequisites before attending and graduating from Des Moines University in 2020 as a Doctor of Osteopathy.  I was able to return to my roots in Omaha to complete my family medicine residency in 2023 and am now in the process of completing a fellowship year in hospice and palliative medicine at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.  I feel incredibly grateful to be able to do work I find deeply satisfying, both in specialty level palliative care and in general family medicine.  Current special interests include neuropalliative care, psychedelic assisted therapy and encouraging development and strengthening of primary palliative care skills in the primary care workforce to increase satisfaction for both patients and providers.

Outside of my professional life, I am blessed to be the mama of three energetic and creative children who make me smile (and take deep breaths) on a daily basis.  Raising my children surrounded by family and friends in the community where I grew up is a tremendous privilege I am so grateful for.  Last, but so definitely not least, I couldn’t do what I do without my incredibly patient and loyal partner Matt.  I am deeply indebted to the wonderful people who have walked this path alongside me.
