Objectives:
1. Following this lecture, participants will understand the goals and preliminary results of a primary care research project
2. Paricipants will be able to identify benefits of primary care research in the area of OUD and pregnancy in our state and it's potential to improve whole person care for patients and families.
3. Participants will be able to identiify initial steps to help pregnant people access resources when co-morbid opioid use disorder is present through the MaineMOM program.
This session is accredited for a maximum 1.0 AOA Category 1-A credits. Credits commensurate with participation in the session will be awarded.
This education counts towards Maine state-specific Opioid Prescribing CME licensing requirements and the new 8 hour DEA CME requirement when renewing or obtaining your DEA license. The total hours in this education is one (1) Opioid Prescribing Credit.

Dr. Kelley Harmon is 2005 graduate of UNECOM and is a board certified osteopathic family physician and faculty member at Maine Dartmouth Family Medicine Residency Program (MDFMR) where she practices full spectrum care with both inpatient and outpatient focus inclusive of obstetrics and pediatrics. She has a special interest in opiate dependence care in pregnancy, group visit models of care and interprofessional education. Administratively, Dr. Harmon is the Director of Pre-Doctoral Education at MDFMR and serves as Regional Assistant Dean for University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine, and has clinical faculty roles at Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth and Tufts University School of Medicine.
