Dr. Rob C. Allen is an Assistant Professor in the CASE Department at the University of the Incarnate Word School of Osteopathic Medicine. He earned his undergraduate degrees at UC Irvine, and his DO at COMP/Western University. He did his Residency in Emergency Medicine at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center/Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas.

Dr. Justin Wileman is a board-certified and fellowship trained ophthalmologist who specializes in cornea, cataract and refractive surgery. He received his undergraduate degree from Dallas Baptist University. After earning his M.S. in Biomedical Sciences from the University of North Texas Health Science Center, he completed medical school at Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth. He continued his training with an internship at John Peter Smith Hospital and his ophthalmology residency at the University of South Carolina/Prisma Health, where he served as the Academic Chief Resident. After residency, Dr. Wileman completed a fellowship in Cornea, Refractive and Anterior Segment Surgery at Price Vision Group in Indianapolis where he trained under world-renowned corneal surgeon, Dr. Francis Price. Dr. Wileman practices in Dallas and is a member of AAO, ASCRS, and TOMA.
Dr. Dellinger is a native of Texas, where he completed his undergraduate work at the University of Texas at Arlington. He attended medical school at the University of North Texas Health Science Center, Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth Texas, where he received the Dupont Pharmaceuticals Award for achievements in the pre-doctoral years.
Internship was completed at Tri-City Hospital in Dallas, Texas where he was named outstanding intern in his class. He completed a residency in General Surgery at Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio where he served as House Staff Chief Resident his last two years and received the American Osteopathic Association Resident’s Achievement Award.
Dr. Dellinger was the Chief Resident in the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery program at Cleveland Clinic South Pointe Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio.
He is currently in practice in the Austin, Texas area, where is performs a wide variety of Plastic, Cosmetic and Reconstructive Procedures.
Dr. Khanh Truong was born in Danang, Vietnam, and moved to Dallas, Texas, at the age of 15. He earned a triple major in Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics from Texas A&M University - Commerce, followed by a Master’s degree in Chemistry. Dr. Truong attended Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in New York and completed his Family Medicine residency, serving as Chief Resident, at UT Southwestern Medical Center, where he also completed a fellowship in Sleep Medicine.He has been recognized in the Texas Academy of Family Physicians (TAFP) Resident Member Spotlight and participated in the TAFP Resident Leadership Experience. His research interests include health equity, and he is a proud member of both the Texas Academy of Family Physicians and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Truong enjoys exploring new restaurants and discovering diverse cuisines as a true foodie.
Dr. Heather Aguirre is Board Certified in Family Medicine and is currently working towards her board certification in Obesity Medicine. She earned her Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from the University of North Texas Health Science Center, Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth Texas. Following graduation, she completed her residency at Christus Spohn Family Medicine Residency Program in Corpus Christi where she served as Chief Resident. Dr. Aguirre is currently in private practice and serves as Medical Director at Rollins Brooks Center for Wound Care in Lampasa, Texas. Attorney Jon Porter is a partner with the law firm of McDonald, Mackay, Porter & Weitz, LLP in Austin, Texas. With an extensive background handling legal, regulatory, and licensure issues, Jon Porter has built a reputation for being an experienced and highly skilled professional license defense attorneys.
Before attending law school, Mr. Porter was a licensed investigator for the Texas Medical Board for several years. Since becoming an attorney in 1999, Mr. Porter has worked extensively in both the public and private sectors. He was previously an appellate attorney for a large Houston-based law firm, writing briefs for various courts including the US Supreme Court and the Texas Supreme Court. In the public sector, Mr. Porter was a legislative aide for Texas Representative Senfronia Thompson. Mr. Porter returned to the Texas Medical Board as a prosecuting attorney and later became the Director of Enforcement and Compliance.

Helene Alphonso DO is a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and board certified by the American Board Neurology and Psychiatry and the American Board of Preventive Medicine in Addiction. She graduated with honors in Neuroscience as an undergraduate at UT Dallas and attended Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Alphonso practices as an Attending Psychiatrist at John Peter Smith Hospital (JPS) in Fort Worth Texas for their Psychiatric Residency program and as a consultant to the Neuroscience Institute at the University of North Texas Health Science Center. She is an Assistant Professor for the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, and Texas Christian University Medical School. She has previously served as the Director of Medical Education for Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine Residencies, Director of Osteopathic Medical Education at JPS, and Osteopathic Program Director of Psychiatry at JPS. Her hobbies include Yoga, running, singing in her church choir, and Krav Maga.
Denise Nemeth is a fourth-year medical student at the University of the Incarnate Word School of Osteopathic Medicine (UIWSOM) in San Antonio, TX. She is originally from a small rural Texas town on the US/Mexico Border. Ms. Nemeth completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 2011 from UT San Antonio, followed by a Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies at UT Health San Antonio. Ms. Nemeth returned to her community to practice as a Physician Assistant (PA) upon graduation in 2015, serving her community as a General Surgery PA under the mentorship of three skillful surgeons who trained her to navigate the unique challenges of practicing in the surgical setting in a rural community. She eventually became the first midlevel provider in her community to be a Certified Wound Specialist with the American Board of Wound Management. S/D Nemeth has applied for Match 2025 and is in the process of matching to General Surgery residency. Ms. Nemeth is an active member American College of Surgeons, the Latino Surgical Society (LSS), and the Association of Women Surgeons (AWS). She is a member of the Diversity, Leadership and Professional Development (DLPD) and Community Practice Committees of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES). She has a particular interest in DEI, Latinx health, wound healing, surgical oncology, and minimally invasive surgery.
Dr. Anita Gupta is a globally recognized physician-pharmacist, anesthesiologist, and healthcare leader. A Princeton and Harvard Business School alumna, she is renowned for her contributions to addressing the opioid crisis, including advocating for expanded naloxone use and identifying the rise of synthetic opioids like fentanyl. Dr. Eidson is a native Texan born and raised in Arlington, TX. He is certified in Venous and Lymphatic Disease through the American Board of Venous Lymphatic Medicine and is board-certified in Family Medicine through the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians. For well over a decade, he has focused his medical career on venous and lymphatic disease and its proper diagnosis and treatment. He has performed well over 16,000 successful venous procedures in the course of his career so far and spoken at numerous medical conferences in Texas and the US on venous disease. He is a husband and father of 2 (a boy and a girl) and also an amateur Apiarist (bee keeper).

Carol S. Browne, DO, FACOFP, is a professor and Department Chair of Osteopathic Principles and Practice, at the University of the Incarnate Word School of Osteopathic Medicine (UIWSOM). Dr. Browne is a founding member of the UIWSOM faculty. She has endeavored to keep the progressive curriculum at UIWSOM osteopathic primary care and learner focused. Dr. Browne is active with the learners as the faculty advisor for the Student ACOFP chapter, Sigma Sigma Phi Osteopathic Honor Society, the UIWSOM Student Government Association, and the Pride in Practice organization. She was honored as the 2023 ACOFP Osteopathic Family Medicine Educator of the Year and again in 2024 by induction into the GOLD Humanitarian Honor Society Dr. Browne served the Texas Society of the ACOFP (TXACOFP) for two decades. Dr. Browne has co-chaired TOMA and TOMA/TXACOFP CME events for the last six years. Dr. Browne also serves nationally as a previous item writer and exam reviewer for the NBOME for both FP and OMM topics for Levels 2 and 3. She served as an examiner for the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians (AOBFP) from 2017-2021 and was elected an AOBFP board director for 2022-2025.
Dr. Townes “Tucker” Leigh, Jr serves as an Assistant Professor of Family Medicine and Sports Medicine at Sam Houston State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He also currently serves as the founding Program Director for the Sam Houston Regional Education Consortium/Huntsville Memorial Hospital Family Medicine Residency and Head Medical Team Physician for Sam Houston Athletics. He earned his DO degree from West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in 2010, completed a three-year residency at the University of Alabama Family Medicine Residency in Tuscaloosa in 2013 and a fellowship in Primary Care Sports Medicine at Lemak Sports Medicine and Orthopedics in Birmingham in 2014. He is Board Certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine, Family Medicine/Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians, and holds a certificate of added qualification in Sports Medicine.
Albert H. O-Yurvati, DO, PhD, DSc (hc), DFACOS, FACOS, FICS, FAHA, is a 1986 graduate of the University of North Texas Health Science Center, Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his Internship and General Surgery residency at Tulsa Regional Medical Center at Tulsa, Oklahoma, and served as Chief Resident his final year. He then completed a residency in Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery at the Deborah Heart and Lung Center, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School at Browns Mills, New Jersey, where he also served as chief resident. He is AOA board certified in Cardiothoracic-Vascular and General Surgery, and he is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons as well as the International College of Surgeons. Other educational activities include a Graduate Certificate from the University of North Texas Toulouse School of Education in Teaching and Adult Learning. He completed a PhD in Education from Northcentral University with a concentration of Organizational Leadership.Currently Dr. O-Yurvati is a Professor Emeritus and Chair of the Department of Medical Education Health Systems Science at the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, and he is also Professor of Integrative Physiology in the School of Biomedical Sciences at the UNTHSC. He is a Visiting Professor at the University of Strathclyde, in Glasgow, Scotland, in the Department of Biomedical Engineering.He has received numerous awards from the UNTHSC, most recently including the 2012 Clyde Gallehugh DO Memorial Award, the 2011 President’s Award for Clinical Excellence. He also received Doctor of Philanthropy in 2011, and in 2010, he was the recipient of both the Benjamin L. Cohen Award for Outstanding Research Achievement and the TCOM’s Dean’s Award for Philanthropy. In addition, he has been awarded two Academic Commendation of Excellence (ACE) Award for superior post-tenure reviews.He is certified by the Institute of Healthcare Improvement with a designation of CPPS (Certified Professional Patient Safety)Dr. O-Yurvati has served on many committees on the local, state, and national level. He is Past President of the Metro Fort Worth American Heart Association and is a past Board member of the Texas Affiliate of the AHA. He also received the AHA Distinguished Service Award. On a national level, Dr. O-Yurvati was the chairman of the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery. He is actively involved in numerous committees of the ACOS, and he has served as a discipline chair and representative to the Board of Governors, as well as cardiothoracic educational program director. He has received the Orel Martin medal, Guy Beaumont Educational Award and the Ballinger Distinguished Surgeon Award. He is a Distinguished Fellow of the ACOS.He is on the editorial board of the JAOA and Filtration. He is a reviewer for many peered journals to include Cardiovascular Research and Experimental Biology and Medicine, Annals of Thoracic Surgery, and the JAOA. Dr. O-Yurvati has published over 100 peer-reviewed articles, three book chapters, and numerous abstracts. He is the recipient of over 2.5 million in grants, to include NIH, NASA, DOD, and Osteopathic Heritage Foundation funding. He is a Primary Investigator in multiple Phase 2 and 3 clinical trials. He has lectured nationally and internationally, and he has presented previously at the Therapeutic Filtration and Extracorporeal Circulation meeting at the prestigious Hammersmith Hospital in London, England. His research interests include the inflammatory effects of cardiopulmonary bypass, cardiac metabolism, mechanical cardiac assist devices, and post-cardiac surgery adhesions, and patient safety.
Dr. Callahan received his medical degree from the Kansas City University – College of Osteopathic Medicine. His postgraduate education was at Lakeside Hospital in Kansas City. He was in private rural practice for 10 years and maintained standing as clinical faculty at KCU in the family medicine department. During this tenure, he completed a two-year faculty research fellowship at KCU. Dr. Callahan served 30 years in the Army National Guard, achieving the rank of Colonel, and was appointed State Surgeon for Kansas and later as Special Assistant to Northern Command/NORAD in Colorado Springs for 3 years. He is a graduate of The United States Army War College. Dr. Callahan is actively involved in many military medical organizations, for which he was given the Order of Military Medical Merit. He served three tours in Iraq and deployed to state disaster responses, including New Orleans during Katrina and Rita Hurricane. Dr. Callahan left private practice after 9/11 and joined the Federal Civil Service as a primary care physician at Fort Riley in Kansas and later at the VA Medical Center in Topeka. His civil service culminated in the position of Service Chief for the Montana VA. After retiring from military service, he was a Blue Cross Blue Shield Medical Director for several years. In 2020, he transitioned to work at home and enjoys practicing as a telemedicine physician for Knowledge Health. Since 2022, I have also served as an adjunct professor at the Kansas College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr Lesca Hadley received her medical degree from Texas Tech University Health Science Center in Lubbock Texas. She completed a Family Medicine Residency and Geriatrics Fellowship at John Peter Smith Hospital in Ft. Worth, Texas. Later, Dr Hadley received an MBA with a healthcare emphasis from Abilene Christian University. She is Board Certified in Family Medicine with additional Board certifications in Geriatrics and Hospice and Palliative Medicine. Dr Hadley served as the John Peter Smith Hospital Geriatrics Fellowship Program Director for fourteen years, and she was the founding Program Director for the Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship at John Peter Smith Hospital. Currently, Dr Hadley serves as the Director of Geriatrics for the Methodist Family Medicine Residency in Dallas, Texas. Dr Hadley is passionate about caring for the most vulnerable patients at home and abroad, and she is inspired by the residents and students she teaches.
