Dr. Townes Leigh Jr., DO, CAQSM
Dr. Townes “Tucker” Leigh, Jr serves as an Assistant Professor of Family Medicine and Sports Medicine at Sam Houston State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He also currently serves as the founding Program Director for the Sam Houston Regional Education Consortium/Huntsville Memorial Hospital Family Medicine Residency and Head Medical Team Physician for Sam Houston Athletics. He earned his DO degree from West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in 2010, completed a three-year residency at the University of Alabama Family Medicine Residency in Tuscaloosa in 2013 and a fellowship in Primary Care Sports Medicine at Lemak Sports Medicine and Orthopedics in Birmingham in 2014. He is Board Certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine, Family Medicine/Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians, and holds a certificate of added qualification in Sports Medicine.
