Angela DeHamer, DO, FACOI

Angela De Hamer completed her undergraduate studies at Bethel University in Studio Art and Biology. She was a research technician at the Universtiy of Washington in Seattle, involved in research and publications looking at immunie system responses following stroke. She attended medical school at Pacfiic Northwest University in Yakima, Washington, followed by residency completion at Botsford Hospital in the Michigan State System. 

Angela De Hamer is a practicing hospitalist with the teaching service at MercyOne Hospital, training Internal Medicine residents and students. She is also a faculty member at Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine. 

Angela continues to study and find ways and means of integrating the fields of Art and Medicine, both in her daily life and the lives of her students and the community - purposing toward the continued integration of the body, mind and spirit. She enjoys outdoor activities, hiking, time with her dog, Tucker, and time with her family and friends.
