Patrick F. Leary, DO, MS, FAOASM, FACSM, FACOFP, FAAFP, “Adolescent Sports Injuries,” is director of sports medicine at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) and a physician with Medical Associates of Erie. He is also director of the sports medicine fellowship program and co-director of the geriatric fellowship program at LECOM, and head team physician for the Erie BayHawks and the Erie Otters. Board certified in family practice with certificates of added qualification in sports medicine and geriatrics, Dr. Leary is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame (Ind.) and a 1981 graduate of the Kansas City (Mo.) University of Medicine and Biosciences College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed an internship at Cuyahoga Falls (Ohio) General Hospital. Past president of the American Osteopathic Academy of Sports Medicine (AOASM), Dr. Leary is a fellow of the AOASM, the American College of Sports Medicine, the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians and the American Academy of Family Physicians. He is a member of POMA, the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Family Physicians Society, the American Osteopathic Association and the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine.
