Sarah Lafleur OMS
Sarah is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire College of Life Science and Agriculture (2019). While at UNH, she majored in Biomedical Sciences: Medical and Veterinary Sciences with focus areas in Genetics and Psychology. The research Sarah conduced while at UNH involved bat populations in the Oklahoma Tallgrass Prairies and their relationship to anthropogenic noise. Following graduation, Sarah worked for the Agency of Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (CDC) as a contractor through Abt Associates to investigate the long-term health implications of PFAS/PFOA-contaminated water ingestion. Directly prior to attending UNECOM, Sarah worked for United Therapeutics on the research and development team. Here she was dedicated to ending the organ donation shortage through development of 3D-printed, biocompatible hydrogel scaffolds for lung transplants. As a first-year UNECOM student, Sarah is a class representative in the Student Government
