Objectives:

•Review of indications for SGLT2i 
•Review contraindication and GFR limits for SGLT2i use 
•Review new recommendations for treatment of diabetic kidney disease

Jennifer Thompson, D.O. is a graduate of the University of North Texas Health Science Center, College of Osteopathic Medicine in Ft. Worth, Texas.  She completed her internal medicine residency at Texas Health Resource: Presbyterian Dallas Hospital and her nephrology and transplant nephrology fellowship at Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina.  She is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in internal medicine and nephrology.

Dr. Thompson practices at Iowa Kidney Physicians in Des Moines, Iowa.  She is an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Iowa, Carver College of Medicine in Iowa City, Iowa.
