Description

Objectives: 

1:Participants will become familiar with dosing routes and formulations of ketamine and their application to mental health treatment.
2:Participants will be able to discuss the advantages of ketamine treatment over conventional antidepressant pharmacotherapy.
3:Participants will be able to discuss the potential therapeutic advantage of medicine assisted psychotherapy compared to psychotherapy and medication treatment separately.

This session is accredited for a maximum of 1.0 AOA Category 1-A credits. Credits commensurate with participation in the session will be awarded.

Dylan McKenney MD is a psychiatrist in private practice in Portland, Maine.  He is Medical Director at the Maine office of Boston Child Study Center and serves as Medical Director for MaineHealth ACO Behavioral Health Care Program.  He is currently enrolled in the California Institute for Integral Studies certification program in Psychedelic Therapy and Research.  Dr. McKenney practices ketamine assisted psychotherapy in his private practice and is beginning to conduct research on this intervention with Boston Child Study Center. He is ABPN certified in General Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
