Physicians and medical professionals will learn why long-term randomized clinical trials against placebo were done to verify the cardiovascular safety of novel hypoglycemic agents. They will compare and contrast outcomes in randomized clinical trials for sodium-glucose-linked transporter-2 inhibitors, glucagon-like peptide-1 agonists, and dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitors for cardiovascular or renal endpoints.
