Kathryn Brandt, DO

MOA Pre Elect & Legislative Chair


Kathryn Brandt is a 1997 alumna of UNE COM and received the Masters in Medical Education Leadership from UNE COM in 2011, and is board certified in Family Medicine and Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine. She has spent her career teaching osteopathic primary care, first at Maine-Dartmouth Family Medicine Residency from 2001-2012 and then at UNE COM as Chair of Primary Care.
She has a career long interest in the integration of osteopathic principles and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine into primary care and chronic disease management. She was the founding director of the Maine-Dartmouth NMM +1 Plus One Program and its associated multidisciplinary integrative clinic and has taught and advocated for these principles on a national level through the American College
of Osteopathic Family Practice and National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners.

She has also engaged in the quest for delivery system reform and the
depoliticization of medicine in many venues including the Maine Osteopathic Association, Ibis Health Services, and MaineCare State Innovation Model Initiative.
