List the glucagon-like peptide (GLP)-1 agonists available in the USA, and compare and contrast them with regards to: a. Mechanism of action and molecular pharmacology b. Indications and contraindications c. Adverse effects and cost 2. Summarize the results of cardiovascular outcome trials with GLP-1 agonists with respect to: a. Major adverse cardiovascular events (3- vs. 4-component outcomes) b. Renal function in diabetic subjects c. Weight loss 3.
