• Alzheimer's Disease (AD) is the most common cause of dementia • 2022: 6.5 million in US > 65 y/o • 2022: 73% of AD > 75 y/o • 5th leading cause of death in people > 65 y/o • Once diagnostic criteria for dementia is met the brain is already severely compromised with billions of neurons lost and no treatment known reverses this.
