Dr. Tamara Lyday has always loved whole body medicine. She elected to attend DMU because of her dream of treating the whole person and being able to spend more time with her patients working towards total cure. Dr. Lyday initially began her career in primary care as a family practice doctor, running a wound care center and hyperbaric chamber on the side. After a few years she transitioned to leadership role functioning as a regional medical director for her hospital system in Green Bay, WI. Due to her mother developing autoimmune disease, she became interested in acupuncture to treat her family and then transitioned into full time functional medicine. After finishing her IFM training she was approached by multiple local hospital systems to develop a functional medicine presence. After 3.5 years trying to help patients within the traditional system she transitioned to opening her own healing center.
