Dr. He earned her medical degree from the Medical School of Nanjing University in China and completed internal medicine residency at Jinling Hospital, Nanjing, China, where she later became a gastroenterologist. After several years of practicing medicine, she decided to integrate research into her clinical work, leading her to pursue a Ph.D. in Shanghai. Upon earning her Ph.D., she moved to the United States for postdoctoral training at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN, where she advanced to the role of assistant professor. To further combine her clinical expertise with research and provide the highest quality care for her patients, Dr. He completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at Florida Hospital (AdventHealth Orlando Medical Center), followed by a gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Iowa. She currently practices as a gastroenterologist at MercyOne Clive Gastroenterology Care. Her specialties include acid reflux, Metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD), hepatitis, cirrhosis, and inflammatory bowel disease. She also performs various diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, such as esophageal stricture dilation, polypectomy, and endoscopic hemostasis.
