ACCREDITATION
The Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association (POMA) is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians. POMA designates this activity for a maximum of 1 Category 1-A AOA CME credits and will report CME and specialty credits to the AOA commensurate with the extent of the physician’s participation in this activity.

David Allen, DO, “Primary Care Approach to Diagnosis and Evaluation of Pulmonary Hypertension,” and “Advances in the Treatment of Pulmonary Hypertension,” is director of congestive heart failure and medical director of the LVAD program at St. Luke’s University Health Network. Board certified in internal medicine, cardiology, nuclear cardiology, and advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology, Dr. Allen is a graduate of Muhlenberg College and a 2002 graduate of Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed an internship at University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – School of Osteopathic Medicine in Stratford, Pennsylvania, an internal medicine residency at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, a cardiology fellowship at Deborah Heart and Lung Cancer Center in Browns Mills, New Jersey, and a heart failure and transplant fellowship at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia. Dr. Allen is a member of POMA, the American College of Osteopathic Internists, the American College of Cardiology, the Heart Failure Society of America and the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation.
Dr. David Allen, faculty for this educational event, is on the speaker’s bureau for United Therapeutics and Bayer, as well as on the advisory committee at United Therapeutics. All relevant financial relationships listed have been mitigated.
