Description

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  1. Perform osteopathic diagnostic evaluations using the TART criteria (Tissue texture changes, Asymmetry, Restriction of motion, and Tenderness) and apply structural and motion testing to identify somatic dysfunctions.
  2. Demonstrate appropriate osteopathic manipulative techniques for common clinical complaints including headache, neck pain, and low back pain, utilizing methods such as suboccipital release, muscle energy, counterstrain, and soft tissue techniques.
  3. Integrate lymphatic techniques into clinical practice to support immune function and drainage, including thoracic outlet myofascial release and pedal pump, while recognizing indications and contraindications for each modality.

ACCREDITATION

The Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association (POMA) is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians. POMA designates this activity for a maximum of 1 Category 1-A AOA CME credits and will report CME and specialty credits to the AOA commensurate with the extent of the physician’s participation in this activity.

GRIEVANCE POLICY STATEMENT
