At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

1. Evaluate advancements in diabetes management, including the use of continuous glucose monitors (CGMs), hybrid closed-loop systems, and emerging therapies such as teplizumab for delaying the onset of type 1 diabetes.
2. Recognize and manage polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) in adolescents, understanding the diagnostic challenges, updated criteria, and evidence-based treatment options tailored to adolescent physiology.
3. Support youth with gender dysphoria through developmentally appropriate care, including reversible interventions, hormone therapy considerations, and multidisciplinary collaboration with mental health professionals and families.

ACCREDITATION

The Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association (POMA) is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians. POMA designates this activity for a maximum of 1 Category 1-A AOA CME credits and will report CME and specialty credits to the AOA commensurate with the extent of the physician’s participation in this activity.
